Niño alias Benno Ernst ist ein aufstrebender Singer-Songwriter aus Aarau, der seit einigen Jahren mit seinen selbstkomponierten englischen Songs ein breites Publikum anspricht. Mit einem Mix aus Stilen wie Rock, Pop, Irish Folk, Jazz u.a. kreiert Niño mit seiner Gitarre und seiner Stimme kompromisslose Musik, von melancholisch bis provozierend, von romantisch bis gewagt, aber immer eigenwillig und in bester singersongwriterqualität. Seine ursprünglich einfache und ehrliche Musik wird ergänzt durch einen harmoniebetonten, musikalisch unkonventionell bis popigen Anstrich. Dadurch klingt Niño vertraut und doch neu und frisch. Verspielt und doch kontrolliert packt Niño sein Publikum von Anfang an und lädt mit seiner unaufdringlichen Art ein, in seine Welt der Musik einzutauchen. Am 15. Juli 2006 taufte Niño sein Debut-Album «rooms and stories» im «club boiler» in Aarau. Sein zweites Album „the entertainer erschien im Herbst 2008.

Niño aka Benno Ernst is a young and ambitious singer-songwriter from a little town in Switzerland called Aarau. For many years he met with a wide response with his self-written songs. With a combination of genres like rock, pop, irish folk or jazz, Niño creates with his guitar and his voice inexorable music. Sometimes melancholic and provocative, sometimes brutally romantic, but always unconventional and in the good old manner of a balladeer. To Niño’s simple and honest music add some poppy and deeply harmonic tunes, so that Niño sounds intimate and refreshing at the same time. Cheerful but always under control he lets the audience join him into his world of music. July 15th 2006 he released his first album «rooms and stories». His second album «the entertainer» was released in Autumn 2008.
